To the Backdoor Crew

OK - so they said that the Electrical Parade would never come back, and it finally did. Kirby and I said we wouldn't be doing another Backdoor Crew Party for 2005.... and well, now I guess we are.  So here is the scoop.

2005 not only marks the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland, but this year also heralds the 30th Anniversary of our very own Show Services Department.  To highlight this momentous occasion, Kirby and I have joined force with the Character Department lead by Jim Moore, and the Parades Department represented by our very own John Halsey. Together we will stage one massive reunion party on Saturday, July 30th from 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM at the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana.  You all know the place, where the big cube is you can see from the 5 freeway near the Main Place Mall.

Make sure your summer plans are open on Saturday, July 30th for this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.  In additional to just the Parades, Show Services and Character Departments, the party is open to all Past and Present Disneyland Entertainment Cast Members.  If you are an old-timer like Kirby and I, you're going to see some old friends from the past for sure.  We also encourage the not so old-timers to attend and join in on the party.

I am setting up a special website for this truly special event that I hope you will pass on. Help me spread the word to everyone you know, for as far back as your memory serves you to "Save the Date". It is going to be one heck of a party.
